Too Many Boats

Crewed on a Dysart Yawl, owned by the then University librarian, in St Andrews Bay in the late 50s.
Built and sailed a Mirror Dinghy at school in Madras College, St Andrews in the 50s.
We owned this Norfolk Broads launch and
sailed her on the Ouse at Huntingdon in the 70s.
Built a Wayfarer called 'Brambling' and
sailed her at Grafham Water in the early 70s.
Owned this 505, 'Lady Witch' and raced her, with Dave, at Grafham and elsewhere in the early 70s. She was followed by two more.
Had a day's sail from Portsmouth on HMS Devonshire in the 70s on a visit organised for University admissions officers. Great fun.
Had an amazing three day trip in 1977, on HMS Churchill from the Silver Jubilee Review of the Fleet at Spithead to her base at Faslane.
Owned a Sadler 34 called Todka in the late 80s. Had several enjoyable cruises to the Netherlands, Denmark, France, Belgium and Germany.
Owned a Mystere and raced her, with Dave, at Grafham in the 80s.
This is Panther, a J105, which I owned and raced in the 2000s. This is us doing 18 knots at Cowes Week. She was a total delight to sail.<
Dana - my biggest and most entertaining project. I found her in Arnhem in the summer of 2008. She was built in 1903 and heavily restored by three of us in Caversham in 2008/9. I sold her in 2017.
Had this for a little while on the Thames. Had built a canoe while a student.
Had a Solo at Grafham in the 2020s.
Current pride and joy - Mrs Jones - a Sigma 33. Kept her for 6 years in Medemblik. Now at SYH. She was built in 1983 and is a terrific boat to sail. The photo shows her in the Ijselmeer 24 Race in 2014.
Obvious - if you keep a boat in the Netherlands.
Have owned and sailed three windsurfers at one time or another.
