Dana

First sight of Dana, in the rain, in Arnhem in 2008.
The saloon as it was then.
Wall between saloon and forecabin.
Using the loo was was an adventure.
First sight of rudder and very dodgy prop..
as she was hauled out in Amsterdam. Note the clipper bow and aft windows - horrible - they had been added in the 50s when she was used as a sail training ship.
The stearing gear.
Leaving Harlingen to start journey to Caversham. Can just see the oil drum - full of diesel, on the aft deck - didn't trust the fuel tanks then.
Evening in Terneuzen before North Sea crossing the next day. Note the absence of the clipper bow and aft windows - had them removed in Harlingen.
London 36 hours later after a lot of fog. Had never skippered a boat without sails (and an elderly engine) across the North Sea.
Aftermath of electrical fire in Kingston, later that day. 5 fire engines and an ambulance.
Finally arrived in Caversham and given a very quick paint job over the rusty bits.
